February 2022 is a month I will never forget. After being saved by Christ in August 2021, I had made the decision that I wanted to be baptized. For a few months, I would register for baptism dates with my church and they would never work out. Well, it was finally able to happen! On February 2, 2022, I was baptized. I was baptized by someone who has been by my side through everything for the past year. She has been by my side as a boss, mentor, and friend, watching and helping me to grow in my faith. I am so grateful that I was able to be baptized by someone who means so much to me. This experience has made me thankful for the life the Lord has given me and for the people he has placed by my side, loving and supporting me each day.
This month also held a wonderful opportunity for me. It was time to reapply to be a resident in my dorm for the next school year. This time around though, I had a choice to make. I could either apply to stay in my current position as an RA or I could apply to be Head RA in my dorm. I debated applying for the Head RA position because I was afraid of the outcome. However, after a few weeks of thought and prayer, I decided to go for it. On February 28, I interviewed for that position and felt amazing. After my interview, I felt accomplished. It had gone better than I could’ve hoped for. At that moment, the Lord gave me the confidence and knowledge I needed in order to have a good interview.
